Airline Restrictions - Restrictions
are very much necessary.
Passengers whom these are designed to protect are often also
the subjects of such prohibitions imposed by many different
airline carriers. Passengers are many times inconvenienced and
discomforted by these often forceful restrictions. They however
are required to maintain the aforesaid safety and security standards.
A major chunk of these limitations are imposed on luggage, hand
luggage carried, baggage, weapons etc.
The amount of hand baggage that can be carried by a person
traveling by a flight of that particular airline is often
limited to a particular quantity by all airlines. This quantity
as determined by the airline carrier is known as airline carry
on restrictions. They differ from airline to airline. However
such carry on limitations are on an average same for all different
airlines. The main purpose to be served by imposing them is
to limit the amount of hand baggage that can be carried on
a particular flight by any traveler. They are designed to
restrict the type of hand baggage that a person may tug along.
Another form of limitations, which are placed on the travel
of individuals from one country to the other, is Airline travel
restrictions. They are most often put in place through documents
such as passports and visas. They often generally restrict
a person from traveling from one country to another. They
are designed to prevent unauthorized and unwanted travel.
Airline travel restrictions help in the arrest of criminals
and antisocial elements trying to flee the country.
The luggage that can be carried by a person on a flight is
often restricted to a predetermined weight by all airline
carriers. These limitations called airline luggage restrictions
restrict the amount of luggage that can be carried to certain
kilograms weight. Any luggage exceeding the said number of
kilograms cannot be taken in that flight.
There are certain prohibitions laid down by governments of
different countries as regards travel to certain nations called
‘enemy nations’ or ‘unfriendly nations’.
Air travel restrictions are generally designed to restrict
travel to countries with which the parent country is not on
very good terms. These travel limitations are quite comprehensive
and include other restrictions as well. They are often used
as diplomatic tactics to make political statements and are
imposed on third world countries.
